Did you all have a fun Super Bowl weekend? I had a great weekend because one of my best friends, Lindsay, was in town. Lindsay used to live in Okinawa and moved back to the States in November. It is always so sad to say goodbye to old friends so I was thrilled when she told me she had to come back to Okinawa for work!
If you have been reading my blog a while, you might remember from this post that Lindsay and I looooove to cook and bake together. This past week was no exception. We managed to squeeze in quite a few cooking/baking projects in the short time she was here. (Lindsay is also the friend who shared this family recipe with me .)
I’m not going to share (yet) any pictures of the food we made since they will all become future blog posts, so instead I will share some fun pictures from this weekend.
Since Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, I think it is only appropriate to share a dessert recipe with you today that is perfect for Valentine’s Day—Rocky Road Bars. These bars are super easy to make because they require no baking, that’s right, no baking…and they are very delicious. Win and win .
I got this recipe from our good friend, Mike. It is a family recipe of his that his mom has made for Christmas year after year. He made them for us two years ago and I fell in love with them. Hopefully you enjoy them as much as I do!
Instead of a Question of the Day, I’d like to ask you to leave me a comment and say hi. I’d love to know if you’re new here or if you’ve been reading for a while—it’s just nice to know there are readers out there . I promise to respond to your comments!
